Who is responsible for your data
Landscapeestimating is responsible for personal data about visitors and account holders. For data your company enters about its own clients (names, addresses and emails on estimates and proposals), your company decides how that data is used and we process it on your behalf.

What we collect
- Account data: your work email address, the confirmation code we send to it and the time you confirmed it.
- Company data: company name, logo, users, cost library (materials, labor rates, production rates, overhead, margin), estimates, proposals and job costing records.
- Client data your company enters: names, property addresses, emails and signatures on proposals.
- Estimator demo: the estimate you build in the estimator demo, kept in your browser and, when you create an account, stored with it.
- Usage data: pages visited, the page or campaign that brought you to us, browser type, device type and IP address.
- Billing data: plan, billing period and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach our servers.
- Messages you send us by email.
Why we use it
- To create and secure your account and send the confirmation code.
- To provide the service: measurement, pricing, proposals, e-sign, job costing and exports.
- To bill your subscription and keep accounting records.
- To answer your emails and send service messages about your account.
- To protect the service against abuse, fraud and automated signups.
- To understand which pages and features are used, so we can improve them.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share your company's cost library or estimates with other companies.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, product improvement, answering questions), legal obligations (tax and accounting records) and consent where the law requires it.
Service providers we use
We share data only with providers who help us run the service and only to the extent they need it: hosting and database infrastructure, email delivery, payment processing, aerial imagery and address lookup for maps, and an AI model provider for the scope writer. Each provider processes data under a contract and our instructions. Address searches send only the address you type. Scope writer requests send only the notes you type.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies that are needed to keep you signed in, protect forms and remember your settings. The estimator demo stores your estimate in your browser's local storage so you do not lose it when you reload the page. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep data
- Unconfirmed signups are deleted after 30 days.
- Account and company data are kept while your subscription is active and deleted within 90 days after the account is closed, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and then deleted.
How we protect data
Data travels over encrypted connections, access is limited to people who need it to run the service, and backups are encrypted. Read more on the security page.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, object to or restrict some uses, and withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. To use any of these rights, write to [email protected]. If your data was entered by a landscaping company that uses our service, we forward your request to that company.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
Our service is provided from the United States and from providers that may process data in other countries. Where the law requires it, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes are announced by email to account holders.
