The 8 landscape estimating tools worth a demo
These are the tools US landscape contractors most often shortlist. We build one of them, so read our section with that in mind; the others are described from their own sites.
1. LandscapeEstimating, best for measured bids priced from your own rates
You trace turf, beds, hardscape and edging on satellite imagery, and each layer prices from your cost library with materials, labor, production rates, overhead and margin. Proposals go out with good, better and best options and online e-sign. Crew is $129 a month (2 estimator seats), Company $299 (6 seats, assemblies, job costing, QuickBooks Online export) and Operations $649 (15 seats, branches, approvals, API), half that billed yearly. It does not do scheduling, routing or payroll. For commercial maintenance, see automated estimating for landscaping.
2. Aspire, best for large companies that want one platform
Aspire covers estimating, scheduling, job costing, purchasing and invoicing with unlimited users. Pricing is a custom quote by company size, implementation and training are included, and PropertyIntel takeoffs are a separate product. Our Aspire pricing post explains how the quote is built.
3. LMN by Granum, best for budgeting-led estimating
LMN is known for its budget and markup method. Starter is from $297 a month and Professional from $648 a month, plus a one-time onboarding fee the vendor does not publish. LMN lists no satellite measuring, so quantities come from elsewhere.
4. SiteRecon, best for commercial portfolio takeoffs
SiteRecon measures properties from aerial imagery and builds estimates. Growth is $250 a month, Teams $400 and Partner $500, each with $200 of takeoff credits and paid extra seats. Partner adds done-for-you estimates.
5. Beam AI by Attentive.ai, best for PDF plan takeoffs
Beam AI (formerly Automeasure) returns aerial takeoffs in 6 to 48 hours and blueprint takeoffs in 24 to 72 hours, checked by people. Quantities export to Excel or PDF, pricing is not included, and the vendor quotes by request.
6. SynkedUP, best for owners who want a financial coach
SynkedUP pairs estimating templates with budgeting, scheduling, time tracking and invoicing. Standard is $399 a month and PRO $599, plus $20 per extra user and a $1,000 activation fee on monthly billing. It lists no satellite measuring.
7. DynaScape Manage360, best for design-build firms on DynaScape
Sales and Estimating is $2,497 a year plus $599 onboarding, and All Features $4,093 a year plus $1,199. It ties estimates to DynaScape drawings; no satellite measuring is listed.
8. QuoteIQ, best entry price for multi-trade crews
QuoteIQ runs from Essentials at $29.99 a month to Max at $699, with MapMeasure Pro and e-sign from Beginner ($74.99) and job costing from Pro ($149.99). It serves 50+ trades, so there is no landscape cost library.

How to choose the best estimating software for landscape construction and maintenance
Run the same real property through every tool on your shortlist. A demo on the vendor's sample yard tells you nothing about your own rates.
- Time it. From typing the address to a priced proposal, how many minutes did it take?
- Check the math. Mulch at 3 inches, sod with waste, base tons under pavers: does the tool compute them, or do you?
- Price per company or per user. Per-user pricing gets expensive the day crew leads need logins.
- Look for setup fees. Activation and onboarding fees can add $600 to $1,200 in year one.
- Decide what stays. If scheduling and invoicing already work in Jobber or QuickBooks, you may only need the estimating side; our lawn care software QuickBooks page shows how that fits.
For takeoff-heavy install work, the landscape takeoff software page walks through measuring by layer.
What is the best landscape estimating software?
For most small and mid-size US landscape contractors, the best landscape estimating software is one that measures the property from satellite and prices it from your own rates in the same tool, such as LandscapeEstimating or SiteRecon. Large companies wanting one platform for everything usually pick Aspire or LMN.
What is the best landscape takeoff software?
For residential and light commercial work, a self-serve satellite tool is fastest: you trace turf, beds and hardscape and get square feet in minutes. For PDF site plans or very large portfolios, done-for-you services like Beam AI or SiteRecon Partner return checked takeoffs, usually in hours rather than minutes.
How much does landscape estimating software cost?
Published prices run from about $30 a month for a multi-trade phone app to $649 a month for a team estimator, and LMN starts at $297 a month. Aspire, Beam AI and PropertyIntel quote by request. LandscapeEstimating is $129, $299 or $649 a month per company, half that billed yearly.
Is there landscape estimating software with satellite measuring built in?
Yes. LandscapeEstimating, SiteRecon and QuoteIQ (from its Beginner tier) measure from satellite or aerial imagery inside the estimating tool. Aspire offers it through PropertyIntel as a separate product, and Beam AI does it as a service. LMN, SynkedUP and DynaScape do not list it.
Can I use landscape estimating software with Jobber or QuickBooks?
Yes. Many contractors keep Jobber or QuickBooks for scheduling and billing and use a separate estimator for measured bids. In LandscapeEstimating, signed proposals on Company and above export to QuickBooks Online as invoice lines, so nothing is retyped.
