The proposal

Everything your client sees before signing.

What the client sees on your landscaping proposal

The proposal carries your logo and colors, a snapshot of the traced property map, a scope of work in plain language, the options with their prices, any optional add-ons and your terms. Costs, man-hours and margin never appear on it. Custom proposal templates are available on Operations for companies that want a specific layout per service line.

  • Company logo, colors and property map
  • Written scope of work, which the AI scope writer drafts from short notes on Company and above
  • Options, add-ons, terms and signature block
  • Unlimited proposals on every paid plan
03

Options

Three choices built from the same estimate.

Good, better and best options that raise the average job

Clients often choose the middle option when they see three clear choices. On Company and above, you build options from the same estimate, for example mulch only, mulch plus edging, and mulch plus edging plus shrub trim, and add optional add-ons such as sod repair that apply to any option. The totals recalculate for each option on the proposal. The landscaping estimate example shows a full set of options priced at $1,808, $2,048 and $2,424 with an $816 add-on.

04

E-sign

Online signature and a status for every proposal.

Online e-sign and status tracking

The client opens a link, selects an option and add-ons, and signs in the browser. You see each proposal move from sent to viewed to signed, so you know when to follow up and which proposals have gone quiet. Proposal status tracking and online e-sign are included on every plan, starting with Crew.

  • Status per proposal: sent, viewed, signed
  • Signature with the selected option and add-ons recorded
  • Signed proposal kept with the estimate and the map
05

Deposits

Collecting the deposit right after the client signs.

Deposit request link on signed proposals

On Company and above, a signed proposal can carry a deposit request link, so the client moves straight from signing to paying the deposit you set. That shortens the gap between "yes" and a scheduled job, and it keeps the deposit tied to the right proposal.

06

After signing

How the signed option becomes the job budget.

From signed proposal to job budget

When the client signs, the chosen option becomes the job budget. Crews log hours and materials against it, and the landscaping invoice software page explains how estimate vs actual and QuickBooks Online export work. Because the prices on the proposal came from your lawn care pricing calculator and the quantities from the lawn measurement tool, every number on the signed page traces back to a source you can check. For a sales pipeline view from lead to signature, see crm for landscapers.

07

Consistency

One proposal format for every estimator.

One proposal standard for every estimator

When several estimators write proposals in their own documents, the same service is described three different ways and priced three different ways. Here every proposal comes from the same library, the same assemblies and the same branding, so a client who compares two of your proposals sees one company. Owners on Operations add manager approval above a set amount, so large bids get a second review before they go out.

FAQ

Can I send proposals the same day I measure?

Yes. Measure the property, price it from your library and send the proposal in one sitting. Many estimates on residential properties take a few minutes once the library is set up.

Can clients pick an option and add-ons themselves?

Yes, on Company and above. The client selects one option and any optional add-ons, and the signed total reflects exactly what they chose.

Is there a limit on proposals?

No. Proposals are unlimited on every paid plan. Plans differ in seats, measurements and features, listed on best landscaping software.

Do I need a separate e-signature service?

No. Online e-sign is part of every plan, and the signed proposal stays attached to the estimate.
