Housecall Pro pricing plans and what each one costs

These are the plans on Housecall Pro's own pricing page, checked in October 2026. Housecall Pro says there are no long-term contracts, and a downgrade takes effect at the end of the billing period.

PlanMonthly billingYearly billing, per monthUsers includedWhat the plan adds

Prices change, so confirm them on Housecall Pro's site before you buy. Add-ons such as CSR AI, Pipeline, Payroll, Accounting, Voice, Campaigns, GPS dashcams and Websites are sold separately, and their prices are not published on the pricing page.

Which Housecall Pro plan does a lawn care company need?

Housecall Pro is built for home service trades in general (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, cleaning), and lawn care is one of many. The plan choice for a lawn or landscape company usually comes down to three things.

  • Team size. Basic covers one user, so it only fits an owner-operator. Two to five people who log in (owner, office manager, crew leads) means Essentials. Six or more means MAX, the only plan where you can add users at $35 each.
  • Recurring work. Weekly mowing is recurring by nature. The pricing page lists recurring service plans on MAX, so a company that sells maintenance agreements as service plans should check how far Essentials goes before committing.
  • Books and routes. QuickBooks Online sync and routes start on Essentials, and route optimization is on MAX. A three-crew mowing company that builds routes by hand can stay on Essentials; one that wants routes optimized every week needs MAX.

For most small lawn care companies, that makes Essentials the working plan and MAX the plan for growing past five users or selling service plans at scale.

House call pro price beyond the plan

The plan is the predictable part of the bill. Three costs sit on top of it.

  • Card processing. Housecall Pro advertises card rates "as low as 2.59%" and a 1% fee on bank payments. On $300,000 of card revenue, 2.59% is $7,770 a year, more than any plan. Paying invoices by bank transfer at 1% is the biggest lever on this line.
  • Extra users. On MAX each user past eight is $35 a month. Essentials stops at five, so a sixth office or crew login is what moves a company up to MAX.
  • Add-ons. Payroll, Voice, Campaigns, CSR AI and the other add-ons are priced on request. Budget for the ones you would actually use rather than for the bundle.

Card payouts arrive net of fees, and it is easy to lose track of which invoices a payout covers. If that shows up at month end, reconciliation software that matches card payouts to invoices closes the gap without a spreadsheet.

What a lawn care company pays for Housecall Pro in a year

Take a lawn care company with three mowing crews, an owner and an office manager, so five logins. It syncs to QuickBooks Online and bills $300,000 a year, about two thirds by card.

SetupMonthlyYear, billed monthlyYear, billed yearly
Essentials, 5 users$189$2,268$1,788
MAX, 8 users$329$3,948$3,588
Essentials plus card fees at 2.59% on $200,000about $621about $7,448about $6,968
Essentials plus LandscapeEstimating Crew, both yearly$213not shown$2,556

The card line uses the lowest advertised rate; your effective rate depends on card mix. The last row is the common pairing: Housecall Pro for scheduling, invoices and payments, and a dedicated estimator for the bids that decide the margin.

Where Housecall Pro stops for landscape estimating

Housecall Pro's quotes and price book work like most home service tools: you pick a service, type a quantity and a price, and send it. That fits a $65 mow or a flat-rate aeration. It is thinner for the jobs that make or lose a landscape company's season.

  • No satellite measuring in the plan list, so the turf area, bed area and edging length come from a drive-out, a wheel or a guess
  • No landscape cost library with production rates, waste factors, labor rate, overhead and margin applied per line
  • No assemblies that turn a bed area into cubic yards of mulch plus delivery and man-hours

A 28-visit mowing contract priced $5 low per visit loses $140 per property per season, and a bed install priced from a guessed area loses more. In LandscapeEstimating you trace the property on satellite imagery, every layer prices from your rates, and the client signs online. Our lawn care contract software page shows a season priced per visit, and the landscape measuring software page covers install takeoffs.

Is Housecall Pro worth it for a landscape company?

For a lawn care company that needs scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, online booking and payments in one app, Housecall Pro is a solid choice, and the 14-day free trial needs no card. It is less suited to design-build and install work, where the estimate itself is the hard part.

If you are comparing field service tools, our Jobber pricing and GorillaDesk pricing breakdowns use the same format. If the estimate is what loses money, keep the field service tool you like and price bids in LandscapeEstimating: Crew is $129 a month with 2 estimator seats and 60 satellite measurements, and Company is $299 with 6 seats, assemblies, options and a QuickBooks Online export.

How much does Housecall Pro cost per month?

Housecall Pro costs $79 a month on Basic, $189 on Essentials and $329 on MAX when billed monthly. Billed yearly, the plans are $59, $149 and $299 a month. MAX includes 8 users and adds more at $35 a month each.

Does Housecall Pro have a free trial?

Yes. Housecall Pro offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Its pricing page also shows discounted first months for new accounts, such as $26 for the first month on Basic and Essentials.

Does Housecall Pro charge per user?

Plans include a set number of users: 1 on Basic, up to 5 on Essentials and up to 8 on MAX. Additional users are $35 a month each on MAX, so a team that outgrows five logins moves to MAX.

Does Housecall Pro require a contract?

No. Housecall Pro says it does not require long-term contracts. You can bill monthly or pay yearly at a lower rate, and a downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Is Housecall Pro good for lawn care companies?

It fits lawn care companies that want scheduling, routes, invoicing and payments in one app. It does not list satellite measuring or a landscape cost library, so many lawn and landscape companies price contracts and installs in a dedicated estimator such as LandscapeEstimating.

Which Housecall Pro plan includes QuickBooks?

QuickBooks Online sync starts on Essentials at $189 a month, or $149 a month billed yearly. Basic does not include it.
